Our P7s thoroughly enjoyed a P7 Transition Maths workshop today, led by Dr Iain Embrey from Glen Urquhart High School.
The pupils learned about ratio, and how it is applied to speed, distance and time as well as recipes and money.
Dr Embrey was impressed by the pupils’ contributions to discussion, their teamwork and their confidence using Google Sheets.
The P7s got to use brand new metre sticks to measure the length of room 6 and then timed each other running the length of the classroom. We will be able to use this information to figure out our individual mph!
